AIIMS Gorakhpur Gears Up for First Convocation on June 30. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur is all set to celebrate a significant milestone in its history — the first convocation ceremony — scheduled for June 30, 2025. AIIMS, Gorakhpur Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Maj Gen (Dr) Vibha Dutta shared that a formal invitation has already been sent to President of India Droupadi Murmu to preside over the ceremony and confer degrees upon the 50 MBBS graduates who successfully completed their course from 2019 to 2025.
The institution is currently awaiting confirmation from President Droupadi Murmu. Furthermore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to be the chief guest at the event, adding greater prestige and significance to the celebration.

The autopsies were conducted by Dr Ashish Saraf and Dr Navneet Ateria from the department of forensic medicine, following standard technical protocols.

Major Gen (Dr) Vibha Dutta stressed the importance of further strengthening forensic medicine and medicolegal services at AIIMS, Gorakhpur. Additionally, these facilities will enable medical students to pursue hands-on training and gain in-depth knowledge of forensic practices.
